How does GPS auto-play work?

When enabled, Hidden Layers uses your device's GPS to detect when you're near a point of interest. When you arrive within range (usually 50-100 meters), the relevant audio episode will automatically start playing. You can toggle this feature on/off in the app settings or Explore screen.

How do I download episodes for offline use?

Navigate to any destination in the Explore tab, then tap the download button (cloud icon) in the header to download all episodes for that destination. You can also add episodes to your Trip and download the entire trip at once. Downloaded episodes appear in your Library under "Downloads."

What's the difference between Walking and Driving mode?

Walking mode provides detailed, immersive narration designed for when you're on foot at a site. Driving mode offers more concise content suitable for listening while driving between locations. Some destinations have both versions available.

Can I use Hidden Layers without an internet connection?

Yes! Download your destination's content before your trip, and all episodes will be available offline. GPS auto-play works offline too. We recommend downloading over WiFi before you travel.

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?

Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID or Google account you used for the original purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store:

• iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions

The audio isn't playing. What should I do?

Try these steps:

1. Check that your device isn't on silent/mute
2. Ensure you have an internet connection (or the episode is downloaded)
3. Close and reopen the app
4. Check if the episode requires a Pro subscription
